About Kaya Ceramics
Designed in Sweden. Inspired by Saint-Tropez. Handcrafted in Portugal.

Kaya Ceramics was created for those who value design with purpose and craftsmanship you can truly feel. We believe that tableware shouldn’t just be a smooth, predictable background for your food. It should be an essential, defining part of the meal.
Our designs are rooted in Scandinavian clarity, yet deeply inspired by the sun-soaked elegance of Southern Europe and the effortless beauty of the French Riviera. We don’t follow trends; we sculpt silhouettes that look refined, modern, and quietly powerful.
The Turning Point
For a long time, we felt that modern tableware lacked character. We craved pieces with defined shapes, visible texture, and a grounded, honest weight.
The turning point came during a trip to Barcelona. A conversation with ceramic artist Chisato Kuroki made one thing abundantly clear: handcrafted objects have a unique power to bring joy. The joy of eating, of seeing food beautifully presented, and of being fully present at the table. From that realization, Kaya Ceramics was born.
Artisanship You Can Feel
To bring our vision to life, we produce our ceramics in Portugal, a country renowned for its exceptional clay and true artisanship.
Every plate, bowl, and cup is handmade with precision and care, carrying natural irregularities and the visible trace of the maker’s hands. They are solid, weighty, and built to last. Our color palette is calm and earthy, designed to complement any setting:
Perfectly Imperfect
These plates are not meant to be perfect. They are meant to be real.
Whether it’s a simple Tuesday dinner or a celebratory feast, Kaya Ceramics is designed to elevate the entire experience. For those who choose quality, presence, and timeless design, this is tableware made to be lived with and admired.
