Handmade Ceramic Plates

Handmade ceramic plates in three shapes: large dinner plates, smaller side and salad plates, and deep pasta plates. Choose the clean lines of the Basic Collection or the raised lines of the Saint-Tropez Collection. Every plate is designed in Sweden, handmade and hand-painted in Portugal and fired at around 1250°C, in a palette of Baby Blue, Sand, Vanilla Creme and Étoupe.

Basic or Saint-Tropez?

Basic plates have clean, simple lines and a flat surface that leaves the food to do the talking. Saint-Tropez plates have raised lines and a slightly deeper profile: the Saint-Tropez Large Plate is 4 cm high, against 2.5 cm for the Basic Large Plate. The two collections share the same colors, so they sit well together. A Saint-Tropez Salad Plate on a Basic Large Plate is an easy way to try both.

Made by hand, made for every day

Each plate is shaped and painted by hand, so small differences in glaze, color and brushstroke are normal. They're part of the plate, not a fault. The plates are made for daily use: they're dishwasher and microwave safe, but not oven safe.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes are your ceramic plates?

Our dinner plates are 25 cm (Basic) and 28 cm (Saint-Tropez). The side and salad plates are 22 cm (Basic) and 20.5 cm (Saint-Tropez), and the Saint-Tropez Pasta Plate is 26 cm across and 6 cm deep.

Are handmade ceramic plates dishwasher safe?

It depends on the maker. Ours are: all Kaya plates are dishwasher and microwave safe. They are not oven safe, and they shouldn't go straight from hot to cold. Read more in our care guide.

Can I mix plates from the Basic and Saint-Tropez collections?

Yes. Both collections come in the same palette, so you can mix shapes and colors freely.
