What size is a dinner plate?

There's no single standard, but most dinner plates are somewhere between 25 and 30 cm across (about 10 to 12 inches). At 25 cm, the Basic Large Plate is a classic everyday size. At 28 cm, the Saint-Tropez Large Plate leaves room for a main course and sides without crowding. Both have real weight in the hand; the Saint-Tropez plate weighs just over a kilo.
